Winning
What a pleasant surprise I had this morning. I won a Custom Prestige Domain in the Grand Daily Draw at :
realpenny.auctions3c.com
It is now set up and running.
I had this on my wish list, and envisaged owning a Custom Prestige Domain for some time now. Well my vision paid off big time.

I have been reading a lot of other peoples blogs over the last week or two, and I gained so much by doing this. It is so easy to become despondent, or to believe that you will not make it, or you do not have what it takes.
A lot of these blogs were very positive and reminded me about the strength of our thoughts, the power they have over our lives, and how unaware we can be of it.
"Whatever the mind conceives, and we believe, we can achieve.
We allow past failures to hold us back instead of using them as learning experiences.
A few years back I attended John Kehoe's Mind Power Course, presented by Robin Banks.
For a while, I practiced the principles taught in the course, but then "business" got in the way, before I had made a habit of practicing the principles taught in the course. This morning I looked for and found the course material, which thankfully I had not thrown away. It was safely stashed in one of my many bookshelves.
According to John Kehoe, there are 6 laws regarding thought. I am not going to expand on these other than to give only the laws:
1. Thoughts are real forces
2. The mind is both a sending and receiving station for thought
3. The law of attraction
4. The Law of Control
5. The law of insertion
6. The inner and outer worlds are connected.
I will definitely be adding these Laws to my "daily to do list" until they become a habit.
These thoughts bring to mind the following Qoute
QOUTE:
TO THEM THAT HATH. . . . MORE SHALL BE GIVEN. TO THEM THAT HATH NOT, EVEN WHAT LITTLE THEY HAVE WILL BE TAKEN AWAY. -LUKE 19:26

Affiliate Marketing Network Marketing
I have been struggling my butt off with this business, but, I have survived to tell the tale. Not knowing much about computers or the internet, and absolutely nothing about internet marketing (or any marketing at all for that matter) has not made the task at hand easy.
I have learnt a lot over the past few weeks - but not nearly enough. I was wondering if there is a course I could do to understand all this computer and internet jargon to put it all together. Well I guess I will have to google and find that out.
Although I am struggling, I have no intention of giving up. I am just uber frustrated with myself for learning so slowly.
Strong Future International - http://www.sfi4.com/12348454/FREE - is easy enough now already. After drowning myself in information over the first month, I discovered that if I just stuck to the basics, I spend one to one and a half hours online and I am done for the day, unless I want to answer e-mails from my down-line as they arrive, which does not happen very often. The bonus is that I am earning an income which will just keep growing and growing with time. I determine my income by the amount of work I am prepared to put into the business. This is a very easy business to run and there are many streams of income to be earned by affiliates that are prepared to put in some work.
I am amazed by the amount of people that join these marketing teams that believe all they have to do is join and the money is going to come pouring in. If that were true, we would all be rich. Nothing for nothing, and very little for a penny as the saying goes!

The days go past so quickly
I find it hard to believe that I last wrote and published a post on the 8th. I have had rather a busy time I guess.
On Thursday last week I took my sister home from the hospital. On the way back to my place I hit a pothole in the road while travelling at about 70 kilometers per hour. NOT NICE! (I must confess that I was looking in the right hand side mirror and rear view mirror and therefore did not see the pothole)
Needless to say, I ended up with a badly damaged rim and Tyre It was too late in the day to do anything about it. On the way to my daughters place the next morning, the Tyre deflated totally and I was stranded at the side of the road. I tried to change the wheel by myself, but had to give up eventually as the tool used to elevate the jack snapped! Fortunately, my husband was at home and he could come to the rescue. We managed to put on the spare wheel-BUT- two of the nuts and bolts had stripped.
The rest of the day went by in a whirr of busy stuff.
Over the week-end, we had the "Vryburgers Nationale Burger Raad". (The Vryburgers are an Afrikaans Christian Charitable Organisation) The Pretoria Vryburgers hosted this yearly event over the week-end. On Friday we had the meet and greet, and a typical South African braai.
Saturday morning the men had the annual general meeting, and the ladies were treated to a morning at Ludwig's Rose farm. The ladies met at the Clubhouse, and we caught a bus to the farm. We were treated to a breakfast and a ride on a tractor around the farm with a guide that gave us the history of the farm and the roses.
I came home laden with: three Rose Bushes, Rose Jam, Rose Liqueur Rose Salt, Rose Pepper, Rose bath Oil, Rose Pot Pourie, Rose Essential Oil and Rose Vinegar!
One of the roses that I purchased is the "Golden Penny" which was named after a Neurologist. Dr Penny Guldenpfennig.
We then went back to the clubhouse and had a hamburger braai, then home for a short rest, bath and change of clothing, and off to the Brooklynn Theater for a musical show, followed by a dinner. So that was another late night.
Sunday, of course, was Mothers day and a big family get-together. Grandmother, mothers and all the children. We went to a rustic restaurant, in Irene, and spent the whole morning there. Only left at twelve.
My daughter, Lee-Anne had in the meantime been admitted to hospital for an appendisectomy. We got to the hospital just as she came out of the operating theater Groggy, crying and ever so happy to see her "mommy" Her sister Nikki and I spent some time with her at the hospital. Nikki had been taking care of Lee-Anne's daughter Kassidy. My turn was still to come.
I then took over looking after Kassidy, which put paid to any good intentions of getting a substantial amount of work done! I managed only the barest minimum
Monday was another day which threw me totally off. Preparing a toddler for creche dropping her off at the creche, visiting her mommy in hospital, going to renew my car licence shopping and on the list goes. So once again, only the barest minimum of work done.
Today, the early morning routine was much the same, except that Lee-Anne was discharged from the hospital and I took her home and spent the morning with her.
At least today, I have got some work done and I feel like I am starting to get back on track! Lord, may the days till the end of this month be such that I can get a substantial amount of work done. I have so much to learn, so much I want to learn and so much that I want to do. The internet and all this technical jargon and computer lingo are not going to keep me down. I learn a little every day, and will learn more and more as I go along.

hummm. Midweek already.
Yesterday was rather a bleak day for me.
I found out, in a really lousy way, that one of my casual friends had died last year in November. (By casual friend I mean someone that I got on well with at social gatherings, but the friendship did not extend beyond the social gathering scene.)
A birthday reminder was e-mailed to me from a Calender app on facebook. I responded to the birthday reminder by posting a message on facebook. Yesterday, one of our mutual casual friends let me know that the birthday wish had been inappropriate, as the person that I had sent the birthday wish to had died tragically in November last year. We lost contact after she became engaged and moved out of our circle of friends. We had also moved to a different area so we were no longer seeing this group of people.
Then to make it even worse, I received more birthday reminders about a close friend, whom I fortunately did know had passed away last year. It is just so sad to see all these reminders and to know that these people are no longer with us. Now to pluck up the courage to contact the family to let them know that they have at least three more apps to close on behalf of Julee.
This got me to wondering, what happens when you become an affiliate, a successful one at that, and you die, what happens to your income stream? Many questions I will have to ask myself and some serious research to be done!
Well that's it for today.
Bye

online shopping
I have done a fair amount of online shopping. And 99% of the time I had good experiences. Only once in the (approximately) 4 years that I have done online shopping, have I had a bad experience. I was defrauded of quite a large sum of money. This problem was resolved by going into my bank and talking to the service providers in the legal department. My money was refunded to me as I did not take possession of the items that were mailed to me, when I became aware that money was withdrawn from my credit card that I had not approved.
I learnt from this experience that it is much safer to pay by means of a merchant like Pay Pal.
Amazon, Kobo, Kalahari and of course, the i-tunes store seem to be safe places to shop with a credit card.
One of the stores I shop at frequently is: http://www.tripleclicks.com/12348454. This online store has a member base of 1,622.419 members and 75,310 Products and Services .... and growing daily.
They also have an ECA Program which can be found at http://www.tripleclicks.com/12348454/ECA
That is all for today folks.

It is hard to believe that it is the end of another month! And has this been one roller coaster ride!
Here is a re-cap (Oh, I guess this is where I should mention that this is actually more like a journal entry for me) Please just bare with me.
Recap:
I resigned my job and decided that I was going to take a break from nursing. I was on a long road to nowhere very fast.
Then, I took it upon myself to try my hand at the internet marketing business. Talk about worlds and worlds apart.
Here I should also mention that I do not even have that much experience on a computer.
The computer served as a tool to go onto Facebook, Twitter, a bit of googling for research purposes, e-mailing, saving documents(which was a nightmare for my daughter Lee-Anne to sort out). Apparently my "Filing System" was atrocious. She opened up folders, and filed all my documents in the appropriate folders, reprimanded me, and all to no avail. By last night, my PC was in as bad a state if not worse, than before -BUT- I fixed it up last night, with no help! Yay. Achievement.
This blog is another biggie for me. The idea of a blog terrified the living daylights out of me. It is still a bit daunting, but I am no longer terrified of writing on the blog. Achievement.
One of my coaches, Stone Evans, (http://www.PlugInProfitSite.com/main-35811) suggested that I could look at my blog as a place that I am making a status update. So this is how I am going to view it and I probably will become a lot more comfortable with time.
I have come a long way this month, and I know that I still have a long way to go. But I will get there, even if it is a bit slower than I think. I know what I am heading towards. The obstacles have slowed me down, but I will find a way around, up, under or over them!
Another of my coaches Joel Therien, the owner and founder of GVO Host then Profit and The 7 minute workout (http://www.PlugInProfitSite.com/main-35811) also told me, (in a lot more detail than I am going to explain here)
that I should not compare my reality with my ideal, but rather with my past. How awesome is that, then you suddenly realise how badly you are bashing yourself around the head. So now, I make an effort to remember that bit of wisdom every time I become despondent about the fact that I am not yet where I want to be.
All in all this has been a trying month, but I have learnt so much. The progress may have been slower than I would have liked, but I am streets ahead of where I was one month ago!
To the person that is reading this, I hope you had a good month too, and I wish you all the best for the coming month.

Revival
I was absolutely astounded today when I revived a SFI affiliate by sending a simple qoute to the whole of my downline. Co-sponsored affiliates as well as personally sponsored affiliates.
She had not been correctly sponsored and was at a total loss at how to start the business.
Why on earth would someone be so stupid as to think that quantity wins over quality.
Why do marketers want to sponsor 1000"s of affiliates that they neither care for or want to assist to become successful as well.
I think that the idea of accumulating thousands, or even hundreds of new affiliates actually mean nothing at the end of the day if you don't give a hoot as to whether they succeed or not.
I would rather attract less people, and give them the quality attention that they need to succeed in the business.
Quality verses quantity rules as far as I am concerned.
That is just my opinion, and I believe a valuable one at that.

Cheryl

Hi Cheryl,
Thanks for subscribing to my Home Business Tips Newsletter!
If you ever have any questions, just reply... I'm here! :-)
Let's start today's newsletter off with an article that has helped
many of my subscribers get started and succeed in a home business.
Make the Leap to Home Business Success
Copyright © Stone Evans, The Home Biz Guy
http://www.HomeBusinessTips.com/main-35811
If you are going to build a successful home business, you need
3 "intangibles." These are things that must come from WITHIN you.
===> Intangible 1 <===
First, you must have a strong WHY.
Why must you make a home business work? What's driving you?
What is it that you CAN'T have in your life anymore and/or what
is it that you absolutely MUST HAVE now?
For me, I couldn't stand working 12+ hours a day anymore and
missing the experience of my children growing up. I also
absolutely HAD TO HAVE the freedom of being able to control my
life and finances through a little box that I could carry with me
anywhere in the world and not be tied to anyone's time pressures
or demands but my own. That was my carrot and my stick. I felt a
great pain deep in my gut of missing out on my children's lives
and the incredible freedom that succeeding in this business would
provide for me. I found my why. You MUST find yours.
===> Intangible 2 <===
You must BELIEVE that it is possible.
If you don't believe that it's POSSIBLE for you to succeed
in a home business or make your living on the Internet, you
won't. It's that simple.
For me, figuring out that it was possible was just a matter of
realizing that many other people were ALREADY making great money
with a home business online. If they could do it, I could too. It would
just be a matter of figuring out what those people were doing
and then adapting it to my situation.
There is no shortage of undeniable PROOF that people (millions of
them) are making money online in many different ways. Just get
online and do some research and you'll find countless
testimonials and stories of REAL PEOPLE making real money on the
Internet. Or head to your local bookstore and you'll find the
same documented evidence of this fact. Truth is, it's getting
easier and easier to start and succeed in a home based business.
This is primarily because of the Internet and affiliate marketing.
I've always said that "affiliate marketing" is the job of the
future. In the "old" days, you had to go to a potential
employer, apply for the position and hope for the best. Now you
can simply go to any company you want, fill out their affiliate
application and start work immediately. Affiliates are the new
working class. Believe me, making money with affiliate programs
or making your living on the Internet is WAY MORE than possible.
It is pretty much (or will be soon enough) unavoidable now.
Affiliate marketing is the "job" of the future that's here TODAY.
===> Intangible 3 <===
You must be willing to MAKE THE LEAP.
Ready, FIRE, then aim... This is the operating philosophy you
MUST adopt to succeed with an Internet home business.
That's backwards for most people who like to aim before they
fire. The fact is the Internet is a moving target... The only
thing constant about it is change. You need to stop analyzing the
game and simply jump into it. You can't learn from the
outside... You have to be IN THE RING to truly understand it.
The lesson here is that you will never really be READY to start
a home based business. You simply have to start one.
This is what I call "Making the Leap."
The good news is that the cost of failure on the Internet is very
small. In the "brick and mortar" world you need to evaluate
things very carefully before you decide to open up a business.
It's almost always necessary to invest thousands of dollars to
get an offline business off the ground. However, on the Internet
you can often start a successful business for less than $25. The
Plug-In Profit Site is a great example of this:
http://www.HomeBusinessTips.com/main-35811
You simply need get IN THE GAME... Each moment that you stay
"out there," you're wasting valuable time that you could be
learning and skills necessary to become a successful affiliate
marketer. In fact, if you're not in the game yet, you're
ALREADY behind the times. Come on... You can do it! Make the leap
to becoming a successful home based business owner today!

Contemplate This
Quote by Les Brown
You don't have to be great to get started,
but..... you do have to get started to be great!
That ties in with this:
Question: How do you eat an elephant?
Answer: One bite at a time.
Take that first bite,
Take that first step
Remember what it is that you are aiming for and START DOING SOMETHING.
No matter how small that first step is, it is a first step.
The next steps become easier as you go along.
Remember, when you were a baby, you did not get up and walk on day one, walking was a process. Trial and error, balance, falling, getting up and trying again - until you got it right.
I have taken that first step in internet marketing, and yes, I know that I am going to be off balance, there are times that I will fall, I may even get quite hurt with some of the falls, but just as I did not stop trying to walk when I was a baby, I will not stop trying to succeed at internet marketing and the home based business industry.

information overload
I have been trying to stuff my brain with so much new information (that is actually totally foreign to me),
that I am suffering with anxiety and information overload at the moment. I think a glass of red wine, a prayer or two, and bed is the answer for me right now. Good night all

I am in a world of uncharted territory. One of those people called "Technologically Impaired", I think? If anyone had told me a few months ago that I would be attempting to blog, I would have looked at them as if they were stir crazy. Blog? What is that? Well today I decided, nothing ventured, nothing gained. In for a penny, in for a pound.
I still have the ability to learn and I will fumble my way through somehow or other. So for today, that's it. Baby steps. One step, one day at a time.
Who know's, I could enjoy this enough to become a professional blogger! Is there such a thing as a professional blogger? Guess I will find out in time to come.
Have a good day
I know I am. hehe
